It’s Easter! Well nearly…..
We are so very excited about our wonderful farmers’ market coinciding with Easter this year. Mansfield is the “place to be” during the Easter break – there is so much to do and on balance the weather is normally pretty good. People head out camping, there is water in the lake (yes really, head out to Gough’s Bay and you’ll see), perfect weather for getting out on the bicycle, the cafes and restaurants are open, the local businesses have their doors wide open to welcome everyone and there are markets galore.
The Mansfield Farmers’ Market has fallen on an Easter Saturday once before in our 6 1/2 year history – and what a market that was! We are expecting this year to be no different – but suggest that you are early birds so that you don’t miss out on anything that you really want.
The Bush market is also on – and Easter is normally their biggest market – so you can do your food shopping and then head up there before strolling through the shops. If you are in the car, look outside the main areas for parking – down near the Botanic Gardens, in behind the supermarkets or in one of the “all day” carparks that are available. Best bet is to be early or to walk or hop on the bike.
Our stallholder list is a little shorter this market – but that is only because some have chosen to take up their annual spot in the Bush Market instead. If you can’t find the producer that you are looking for, just ask and we can probably direct you!
A reminder that our April market falls on the Saturday of the Anzac Day long weekend (Anzac Day is the Monday) so put that one in your diary for another great Mansfield weekend.
